The Art of Fermentation
We are delighted to announce a very special event that we are hosting.
On Saturday, April 3rd (2pm – 3pm), in conjunction with the Vermont Arts Council and its on-going Art of Action Program, we will be hosting a presentation entitled “The Art of Fermentation“. The Arts Council’s description is very good:
Presentation on the history and art of fermentation, with The Alchemist’s Executive Chef Jeff Lang, Brewer John Kimmich, and Red Hen Bakery owner Randy George. Samples of kombucha, kimchee, bread and beer.
The modest price of admission is 5 dollars, and the proceeds collected will go to Revitalizing Waterbury and The Waterbury-Duxbury Food Council.
Seating is limited to 30 people.
We are trying something new here as well. To make purchasing a ticket as easy as possible, we will be using the PayPal system. Please note that in clicking the button, you will be taken off our site to compete this transaction.
Thank you in advance for your interest in supporting local initiatives!

Hi. I caught the end of something on TV the other day. It was something about gluten free beer. I have a gluten allergy. Can you tell me where I can buy it or is it only at your pub. I have found one other gluten free beer form Anhauser Bush and it isnt too bad but I would like to try others. Do you supply it to stores in Rutland County? Also how many calories in one beer. Thanks, I hope you can help me. Reda
